Rachel Nasvik learned to sew from her Mom at the age of ten.  As her first project, Rachel took a basic shirt and decided to make it more interesting by altering patterns to exaggerate the sleeves.  Suddenly she realised that she did not have to accept things as they were, that the world was open to perpetual alteration, improvement and redesign - a lesson that stuck with her when she left suburban Chicago in 1998 and moved to New York City to attend Fashion Institute of Technology) FIT.

Rachel Nasvik is greatly influenced by 1970's style, lending her designs a vintage feel, juxtaposing familiarity with modern originaility.  It was always the small details, from a piece of clothing or outerwear that resonated in her mind, and eventually surfaced as the foundation for her handbag design.  Combinations of leather and suede give the line a certain comfort amd versatility.

"Each handbag is unique, inspiring the feeling of coming across a great find in a thrift store"
